Lineage and Family History
Tiger C1 descends from a well-documented and historically significant bloodline within the Tadoba landscape. His parentage connects him to some of the reserve's most notable past residents.
His father is Khali (T-50), a massive dominant male tiger widely referred to as the 'Coal Mines male' who ruled vast portions of the buffer zone.
His mother is Sharmili (T-59), a resilient tigress who successfully held territory and raised multiple litters in the Tadoba buffer regions.
C1 has a known male sibling designated as C2, who shares parts of the Adegaon, Dewada, and Kolsa ranges. Through his mother, C1 also shares a lineage with the prominent tigress Sita (T-130).
